Lamar Smith
Lamar Smith joined Boustead Securities in 2014. Prior to joining Boustead, Mr. Smith was a Senior Managing Director of Hedge Harbor, a subsidiary of Asset Alliance Corporation, a multi-faceted investment management company.
Mr. Smith has significant experience in capital formation and business development in alternative strategies, including, private equity, mezzanine, hedge funds, special situations, opportunistic and specialty finance and energy infrastructure funds. Mr. Smith has experience in structuring and raising strategic equity for specialty finance groups and direct investments. Mr. Smith has strong relationships with a broad and diverse range of investors from family offices, pensions, endowments, insurance co, consultants based in the US and Europe.

Mr. Smith has over fifteen years experience in the financial industry in various capacities. Mr. Smith previously was President of Matador Holdings, a global macro CTA based in the US. Prior to Boustead, Mr. Smith was Vice President for Chase Manhattan Bank, Bear Stearns and Bank of America covering hedge funds and various institutional clients.

Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.S. degree in Finance.
